Gongfu Tea Timer does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics. You do not need an account to use the app.
The app saves custom tea profiles, favorites, your last selected tea and round, and local counters used to decide when to request an App Store review. The active countdown is held in memory. We do not operate a server that receives this information.
iOS may include local app data in device backups according to your settings. Backups and other Apple services are managed by Apple.
Optional local notifications remind you when a round is complete. Live Activities can show the tea name, round, and countdown on your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. You can manage notifications and Live Activities in iOS settings.
Brewing works without an internet connection. The app can show Apple's App Store review prompt. Apple may process reviews, diagnostics, or other service information according to your Apple settings and Apple's privacy policy. The app does not include a separate analytics or crash-reporting service.
This support website is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical information when serving these pages. If you submit a support issue, its contents are public on GitHub; do not include private information. Information you choose to submit is used to respond to your request.
You can delete custom teas and change favorites in the app. Removing the app deletes its local data, subject to any backups you retain.
